About Terry Howard
Terry is a civil litigator who represents individuals and companies in a wide range of business disputes and in land use, zoning, and real estate matters. He advises clients on litigation and appeals arising from local permitting and development decisions, including challenges under G. L. c. 40A and 40B.
Terry joined the firm from the Massachusetts Appeals Court, where he served as a clerk to the Honorable Maureen E. Walsh. In that role he analyzed briefs and appellate records, researched controlling law, sharpened his legal writing and editing skills, and gained experience with virtually every area of law practiced in the Commonwealth.
Before becoming a lawyer, Terry spent nearly seven years as a writer and development professional at Harvard University and the University of Notre Dame, work that continues to inform his approach to persuasive writing and client communication.
