About Conner B. Verreaux

Conner Verreaux is an associate and member of Murphy & King’s restructuring practice. Conner’s practice focuses on representing debtors and trustees in complex chapter 11 and chapter 7 cases, and in the litigation arising from those proceedings. Conner also regularly represents creditors in pursuing their claims and defending against adversary proceedings. Prior to joining Murphy & King, Conner served as a term law clerk to the Honorable Janet E. Bostwick of the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Massachusetts; as well as a term law clerk and judicial extern to the Honorable Meredith S. Grabill of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Louisiana. Conner brings his experiences from both sides of the bench to provide thoughtful advice and find efficient solutions to complex disputes.

Representative Engagements
  • Counsel to chapter 11 corporate debtors in complex reorganization and sale plans involving, among other things, residential real estate, custom yacht manufacturing, sports & entertainment social media, and solar array projects.
  • Counsel to chapter 7 trustees in corporate and consumer debtor cases, including related litigation involving, among other things, actions to impose a constructive and/or resulting trusts, marshaling actions, and preference & fraudulent transfer avoidance actions.
  • Counsel to creditors, including vendors and landlords, in large national chapter 11 cases in the hospital and retail industries; including representing defendants in preference actions and settlement negotiations.
