About Clifford V. Pascarella
Cliff is an experienced litigator who focuses his practice on complex business and securities litigation, including representing individuals and companies in connection with investigations conducted by both State and Federal agencies.
Cliff also advises FinTech companies on various issues, including reviewing and revising their customer contracts.
Cliff regularly appears in both State and Federal courts in Massachusetts. In addition, he has experience practicing in other State and Federal courts around the country, including, but not limited to, California, Delaware, and New York.
Cliff has previously practiced at the Boston offices of nationally recognized law firms that specialize in complex business, securities, and toxic tort matters. Notably, Cliff worked full-time at a prominent Boston-based law firm while he attended law school.
Representative Engagements
- Secured two defense verdicts for a national renewable energy company in cases involving alleged violations of M. G. L. 93A.
- Developed and implemented a national defense strategy for a manufacturer of a patching compound sued in jurisdictions across the country over the talc ingredient in its product.
- Successfully defeated a summary judgment motion filed by the SEC in a regulatory matter brought against a corporate pharmaceutical client.
- Negotiated favorable pretrial resolutions on behalf of multiple corporate clients in “bet the business” toxic tort litigation.
- Secured a dismissal mid-deposition for an industrial manufacturer defendant after cross-examination of the plaintiff revealed no actual exposure from its product in a case arising from alleged exposures to asbestos from multiple defendants.
