Shawn Lu presented at the Boston Bar Association’s April 9 webinar “Topics in Diversity Jurisdiction in Federal Court: Removal, Certified Questions, and Pitfalls for Closely-Held Companies.” The webinar focused on two frequently litigated issues that may arise when federal courts exercise diversity jurisdiction: certifying salient dispositive questions to state supreme courts, and overcoming unique challenges to establishing complete diversity when closely held companies are involved.
