Murphy & King Shareholder David L. Evans Admitted to College of Commercial Arbitrators
May 14, 2019Murphy & King, P.C. announced today that Shareholder David L. Evans has been admitted as a Fellow to the College of Commercial Arbitrators (CCA). The CCA, founded in 2001, “celebrates and advocates excellence in the field of commercial arbitration – in the US and internationally.”
CCA Fellowship is by invitation only, extended to individuals with extensive experience in commercial arbitration who possess exemplary ethical standards and are held in high regard among others in the profession. The CCA is devoted to meaningfully contributing to the profession, to the public, and to lawyers and businesses who rely on arbitration as a means of alternative dispute resolution. CCA Fellows are the elite within the profession. They help form and maintain standards of conduct, develop materials for best practices, and provide training and professional development opportunities for and among their peers.
David L. Evans is co-chair of the firm’s litigation department and represents public corporations, closely held companies and individuals in the resolution of complex business disputes. He maintains an active practice as a certified neutral arbitrator and mediator, having served in more than 350 cases. As a neutral, he has presided over a broad range of business disputes involving areas such as intellectual property rights and licenses, finance and accounting, supply agreements, technology development and transfer agreements, stock/asset purchases, energy, biotechnology and medical devices, real estate, and business separations. Mr. Evans is a member of a number of arbitration panels, including the Commercial and Large, Complex Case Panels of the American Arbitration Association, the Panel of Distinguished Neutrals of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR), the ICDR Panel of Arbitrators and Mediators, the ICC International Court of Arbitration (North America), the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the London Court of International Arbitration.
